About John Reininger

John has been in practice for over twenty years in the Fort Lauderdale, Florida area. As a licensed psychotherapist (License Number MH1980 Florida) he works in a number of critical areas, including:

John's Bachelor of Science Degree was earned at the University of Cincinnati. After completing a tour of duty in the Army during the Vietnam era, he finished his graduate work at St. Thomas University in Pastoral Ministry with post graduate studies in counseling psychology.

CISD fied work assignments included:

  • On site work with the Red Cross in the aftermath of Hurrican Andrew in Miami, Florida
  • On site work at "Ground Zero" in September, 2001 as a member of a national disaster team
  • On site work with employees at numerous locations in the aftermath of on the job traumas such as robbery, death, explosions
  • On site work at schools as the result of traumatic events with students, as well as faculty
  • On site work with airlines as a result of traumatic events

John has authored programs, workshops, and a number of books concerning mental health issues, including:

  • his latest work, "Dog Walking - Reflections from Daily Life", a collection of observation, presenting values and principles.
  • “The Storm Within - A program for Women’s Anger Management” written with Stephanie Tarafdar MS, LMHC
  • “Choosing to Heal and Grow through Loss”, a self help guide for men, women and children in working through grief
  • “Block Values” A workbook for school age children integrating behaviors, scripture and values for healthy change in a fifteen minute classroom “snapshot” format
